As McConaughey's character tells Belfort early on, this subset of investing is so scummy that drugs are mandatory: "How the f- else would you do this job?" At one point a broker declares that they're doing all that coke and all those Quaaludes and guzzling all that booze "in order to stimulate our freethinking ideas."īelfort is married when the tale begins, to a good and respectable woman who doesn't approve of his financial shenanigans or chronic infidelity, but he soon throws her over for a blond and curvy trophy named Naomi LaPaglia (Australian actress Margot Robbie), then marries her and starts supporting her in the style to which they've both become accustomed. His office enforcer is his volcanic dad ( Rob Reiner), who screams about expenditures and workplace sleaze, but often seems to live vicariously through the trading floor's young wolves.īelfort's right hand man Donnie Azoff ( Jonah Hill) is perhaps even more conscienceless than Belfort: a hefty wiseass with gleaming choppers who quits his job at a diner after one conversation with the hero, joins his scheme, helps him launder money, and introduces him to crack-as if Belfort didn't have enough intoxicants in his system, on top of the adrenaline he generates by making deals and bedding every halfway attractive woman who crosses his path. Taking its cues from gangster pictures, " Wolf" shows how Belfort rose from humble origins, becoming rich and notorious (the title comes from an unflattering magazine profile that caught the attention of federal prosecutors). Belfort was indicted in 1998 for money laundering and securities fraud, spent nearly two years in federal prison and was ordered to pay back $110 million to investors he'd deceived. Per Wikipedia, at its peak, "the firm employed over 1000 stock brokers and was involved in stock issues totaling more than $1 billion, including an equity raising for footwear company Steve Madden Ltd." Belfort and his company specialized in " pump and dump" operations: artificially blowing up the value of a nearly worthless stock, then selling it at a big profit, after which point the value drops and the investors lose their money. He reinvented himself on Long Island by taking over a penny stock boiler room and giving it an old money name, Stratton Oakmont, to gain the confidence of middle- and working-class investors. The middle-class, Queens-raised Belfort tried and failed to establish himself on Wall Street in a more traditional way-we see his tutelage in the late '80s at a blue chip firm, under the wing of a grinning sleazeball played by Matthew McConaughey-but got laid off in the market crash of 1987.

There was 0 indication or leak of any Classified Haslab figure being in mainline either (to my knowledge), since those figures are far off from production. That's exactly what they did with Crystar. They can commit to eventually releasing something without needing to know when and where. Either something else gets bumped for him (which they suggested was possible) or he gets to be an exclusive or in a boxed set. Crystar is currently homeless and hoped to release in 2024. There's also SOME wiggle room in their plans. They could absolutely decide to do an obscure Wasp (a deco variant, most likely), announce the tier, say they'll get to the more popular version eventually, and roll it out late 2025. ![]() And MM Cobra Commander, by all indications, ships any day now and the retail version is probably mid-2024. They didn't finish a 3D render until after the campaign. They pulled him out of their butt during the campaign. Not to go WITH ITS RELEASE but MM Cobra Commander didn't get that either. So I'm thrilled they've decided, so far, to nix the idea of extra figures, because the only one that would have made sense is FA Wasp, and it could have backfired on them if they didn't do X, Y and Z first, which I really doubt they could pull off in the timeframe. It would be a completely different story if the prime version everyone wanted was readily available, and the redeco came out a year or two later with the Haslab. I doubt it's something they can just pull out of their ass in two months for the Haslab, and have a retail version ready to go to coincide with it's release. May as well be outright telling us that mainline will be getting Scarlett, Crazylegs, and Ripcord soon.Īgain, we've seen no indication of a main line release, not on leak lists (and we pretty much had a complete rundown of every figure released at the begging of the year). (much like Wasp), but with his inclusion in the Haslab they made it abundantly clear that this look is going to show up in mainline, with a minor variant.Ĭlassified Haslab figures have primarily been this, with the Dragonfly recently having two Nightforce variants as well as Glenda. ![]() I'd say it's fairly similar, none of the Cobra Commanders in Classified up until the one released with the Haslab were the look people were aching for with C.C. ![]() It's different with a figure that's long demanded and hasn't seen an announcement or retail confirmation. Customers can choose between Self-service feature for $35/month or Full-service Payroll for $80/month. However, each product comes with an additional fee. QBO boasts of many add-ons, integrations and payment processors. Monthly SubscriptionĬustomers are charged a monthly rate for using QBO. The discount is not available for current subscribers, only new clients who accountants register for QBO.
